Safeguarding Policy for Gymnastics Camp (Children Aged 4–12)
JB Gymnastics is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of every child attending our gymnastics camp. This policy outlines our safeguarding procedures, reporting processes, and key contacts to create a secure and positive environment for children aged 4–12.

2. Purpose of the Policy
This safeguarding policy ensures that:
• All children are protected from harm, abuse, and neglect.
• Clear procedures are in place for identifying and responding to concerns.
• Staff and volunteers maintain the highest standards of safeguarding practices.
3. Responsibilities of Staff and Volunteers
• All staff must prioritize the welfare of children and act promptly on any concerns.
• Safeguarding training is mandatory for all staff, with refresher courses provided annually.
• The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) will oversee safeguarding procedures and ensure compliance.
4. Reporting Concerns
If you suspect a child is at risk of harm, immediately report your concerns to:

5. Creating a Safe Environment
To ensure the safety of children:
• Staff must undergo enhanced DBS checks before working at the camp.
• Activities and facilities are risk-assessed regularly.

• All staff are required to complete safeguarding training before working with children.
